रात भर दर्द मुझको जगाता रहा ।

देकर थपकी मैं उसको सुलाता रहा । ।

उम्र भर तितलियां पकड़ते रहे ।

हाथ की तितलियां में उड़ाता रहा । ।

मुझको देखो समुंदर को क्या देखना ।

मैं तो आंखों में दरिया छुपाता रहा । ।

वक्त मुझ पर पहाड़ों से टूटा मगर ।

मैं तो उंगलियों पर गोवर्धन उठाता रहा । ।

हमने जिसको मसालों की तालीम दी ।

मेरे सपनों को माचिस दिखाता है । ।

जख्म देकर मुझे  वह नजर झुक गई ।

मैं वही जख्म  उनसे छुपाता रहा । ।

जिसको बख्शी  इबादत की बारीकियां ।

पूजकर मुझको पत्थर बनाता रहा । ।

हम पर हैं चढ़ी मोम की जिंदगी ।

मैं पिघल कर घरौंदा बनाता रहा । ।

रात भर दर्द मुझको जगाता रहा ।

देकर थपकी मैं उसको सुलाता रहा । ।
